Write an article for the Northampton Museums & Art Gallery's blog.
Northampton Museums and Art Gallery has a blog page where articles are posted. There are regular features such as shoe and picture of the month, news features and general interest stories.
We would like you to write a blog on the following:
Group a: choose an object on display.
Group b: overview of the galleries.
Group c: overview of the stores.
Group b: overview of the galleries.Group c: overview of the stores.
The article needs to be of interest to the people who regularly read the blog and also have the potential to reach those who may not have read the blog before.
You might want to consider what angle your article might take; perhaps from the perspective of the object itself, its life journey, or you may wish to pursue an historical or fashion perspective.
The museum has recently undergone a refurbishment; you may wish to write about the ground floor galleries in reference to this.
A visit and tour of the museums stores is quite special, not many people get to do this. You may wish to write your article with this in mind. Some of the shoes and costume you will see will not have been seen by very many people or on display for quite some time.
You may also wish to submit a photograph/image to illustrate your article. See Samantha's blog post above for some ideas.
The best article in each category will be selected and published on the Museum’s blog page.
